How to prepare for TIM

TIPS

You must follow the TiM rules at ALL TIMES. 

Be ready to be stretched out of your comfort zone! 

Don’t be shy! Everyone is looking to make a friend. Make friends! 

Pack light. You will need to carry your own baggage as we travel.

We will walk a lot! Bring comfortable shoes.  

Bring wet wipes or deodorant. You’ll be sweating a lot. 

Take a lot of photos and share them AFTER TiM! 

Enjoy your time! Enjoy one another! Enjoy God! 

Bring instant noodles, instant kimchi, instant rice…. You get the point.

FAQ

1. How much does Teens in Missions (TiM) cost?
TBD

2. Will I be able to do laundry?
Not guaranteed, but will most likely have an opportunity once. Hand wash laundry is most probable.

3. Can I bring / use my cellphone?
You are allowed to bring your cellphone but we will be collecting them during daily programs.

4. How often will I get to shower?
Almost everyday. However you will need to take quick showers – 5 minute.

5. How much money should I bring?
~$100 in Euros should be enough for souvenirs and food at TeenStreet.

6. Will we have free time to explore Europe?
You will get limited free time during TiM for souvenir shopping with your leaders towards the end of the missions’ trip.

7. Will we be provided with water at all times?
Tap water in the countries that we will be visiting are safe to drink. You should bring your own water bottle and keep it with you at all times.

8. How much will we be walking?
We will be walking a LOT during our ministry. Make sure you bring comfortable shoes.

9. Who will we be meeting / serving?
During Teenstreet you will meet thousands of other teens from over 50 nations. During TiM, you will meet immigrants, locals, and children.

10. What types of missions will we be doing?
We will have the opportunity to do kids ministry, sports ministry, evangelism, community service, sharing testimony, performing, etc.

4. NO Relationships: NO form of relationship is allowed between a boy and a girl during Teens in Missions. Treat everyone as a brother and sister in Christ and nothing more. 

*Teens in relationships are not allowed to both join TiM during the same year. Only one of them may participate for that specific year. NO EXCEPTIONS.

5. Premises: Teens should not leave the premises and designated areas. Under NO circumstances is a teenager allowed to leave the site alone or with other teenagers. 

6. Badge: Carry your badge / ID at ALL times.

7. Meals: Always be present for all meals. It is a time for fellowship.

8. Keeping Time: Be respectful of other people’s time. Don’t be late. 

9. Dress Code: Dress with respect and modesty and take into account the different cultures and the fact that you are here for God.

10. Accommodation: Respect each others’ quiet time hours. Lights will go out at 00.00 every night. Boys are not allowed in girls’ dorms and vice versa.

11. Properties: Respect each others’ properties, including the space and furniture provided.

12. Cell Phones: Cell phones are not allowed unless for emergency situations and/or specific agreements beforehand.

13. Follow Instructions: Always follow the instructions of all leaders and staff.

14. Appropriate, Respectful Language

15. Participation: All Coaches and Teens must participate in the daily program.
